The Fresno State football team kicked off spring practice Monday morning, two months after ending the 2012 season with a loss in the Hawaii Bowl.
The Bulldogs will have 15 practice sessions leading up to the annual Spring Game.
Tim DeRuyter, beginning his second season as head coach, has some big spots to fill.
While admitting the Bulldogs return a solid nucleus of players, DeRuyter must find replacements for All-America safety Phillip Thomas along with running back Robbie Rouse, Fresno State's all-time leading rusher.
DeRuyter also says the team must shore up the offensive and defensive lines, while setting the foundation for fall practice.
The Spring Game is set for Saturday, March 23rd, at Bulldog Stadium.
