Fresno Woman Arrested For Gunning Down Ex-Boyfriend's Mother

Posted: Updated:

A 26-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday in connection to the murder of her ex-boyfriend's mother, authorities said.

Kelly Xiong was taken into custody on Valentine's Day for the Jan. 27 death of 56-year-old Xia Lee.

Lee was found by officers in her duplex in the 4000 block of East Hedges in southeast Fresno. Lee had been struck by gunfire after someone fired shots from an Acura Integra into the residence. Lee later died at the hospital from her injuries.

Xiong, police said, is the ex-girlfriend of the Lee's son. Officials say the motive for the shooting may stem from an interpersonal family dispute.

The Fresno Police Department is now asking for the public's help in locating the Acura Integra and identifying three other people in the car.

Police describe the other people in the ar as Asian males in their late teens or early 20's.

Police are also searching for the early 90s, charcoal gray, 4-door Acura Integra used in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the individuals responsible for the murder or Xia Lee, or the whereabouts of the getaway car is asked to call  621-2451 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP where a reward of up to $1,000 cash is offered for information leading to an arrest.
