MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Three people were arrested in a stolen car and in possession of nearly $1,000 of drugs in Coarsegold on Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Melissa Mae Johnson, 32, of Ahwahnee, 23-year old Summer Marie Addington, 23, of Coasregold, and 41-year old Todd Andrew Kjeldergaard, 41, of Oakhurst were pulled over in near Skyline Ridge Road and Skyline Ridge Court around 3:24 p.m.

The three were driving in a 2000 red Geo Metro that had been reported stolen out of Oakhurst on Jan. 29.

Johnson, who was driving the car, told police that they were lost. However, an officer recognized Addington, a Coarsegold resident who is on probation.

Johnson then told police that the car belonged to a friend.

After a search of the car, deputies found two glass smoking pipes, four packages of crystal meth, weighing nearly 20 grams, and worth almost a $1000, and more than $400 in cash.

All three were booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Johnson remains jailed facing felony drug charges and car theft. Her bail set at $25,000.

Addington is being held without bail for probation violation.

Kjeldergaard, who faces felony drug charges, posted his $10,000 bail.
