Arsonist On The Run, Leaves Dozens Homeless

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A man makes good on his promise to set fire to a Fresno apartment complex leaving dozens of people homeless.

It happened Wednesday morning on Weldon near Fresno Street around 8:30.

The Fresno Fire Department says it was the work of 59-year old Siha Phoudamneun.

Fire Fighters say he got into a fight with the people he was staying with and tried to torch the place.

Fire victim Sarah Lee Exun is thankful her prayer book made it through the fire.

She spent the day after the fire salvaging what she could.

Sarah says she is not angry at the guy.

Sarah says, "No, that's between the law enforcement agencies, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and God All Mightily!"

Sarah and others are just thankful to fire fighters for their quick work, and grateful no one got hurt.

Meanwhile the search for the suspected arsonist continues, he is 59-years old, stands 5 foot 4, weights about 150 pounds, he has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Fresno Police Department.
