The Fresno State football team is in Honolulu, kicking off several days of activities leading up to the Hawaii Bowl against SMU on Christmas Eve.
The Bulldogs left Fresno Wednesday morning, feeling confident about their matchup with the Mustangs.
Head coach Tim DeRuyter says his players are fired up, and hopes they will play their best game of the year next Monday.
He is also confident about the game plan. DeRuyter was the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M one year ago when the Aggies beat SMU, 46-14.
DeRuyter expects the Mustangs to try to spread the field with the passing game, hoping to open the running attack for Zack Line, who has rushed for more than 12-hundred yards this season.
