FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has released a surveillance photo of a suspect vehicle in hopes of finding the person or people who burglarized a detective's car.

Late Monday night, an on-duty detective went to St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno after receiving a call about a medical emergency. The detective parked his department vehicle in the parking lot just north of the emergency room entrance.

Investigators believe the burglary occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, as surveillance cameras recorded the suspect vehicle while it was in the lot.

The detective's department-issued .45 caliber handgun, a black sheriff's office raid vest, two 30-round rifle magazines and a pair of handcuffs were taken from the car, according to a sheriff's office news release.

The suspect vehicle is described as a light-colored Chrysler PT Cruiser or a car similar to that.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
