Bulldogs In Hawaii: Red Wave Will Pay A Lot To See Game

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Travel agents are busy booking holiday trips to Hawaii now that the Bulldogs will be playing a Christmas Eve bowl in Honolulu.

So what are the best deals?

KMPH News checked out a number of sites from Yahoo! Travel to Kayak and found just for your flight expect to dish out from $900.00 to $1,200.00.

What deals can travel agents get for you?

Denise Donathan with Winsome Travel says because most people who planned their Hawaii trip did so back in January and February, flights are hard to come by.

Denise Donathan says, "With United Airlines you can go over on the 23rd and stay a minimum of two nights and come back on Christmas Day, and to do that in a budget hotel it's pretty close in price we are at $1,230 a person."

Once you do get to the island, Fresno State is offering a land package.

It includes three nights in a hotel, a game ticket, VIP tailgate, and transportation to and from the game and the airport.

It starts around $700.00 per person.

Of course, there is always option two: watch it on television.
