DEL REY, Calif. (KMPH) -
Five people were arrested in Del Rey Tuesday evening in connection with a chop shop operation.
Detectives say the group stole scrap metal, a truck and a license plate.
That led them to a chop shop near Jefferson and Bethel, where they say they found three more stolen vehicles, three stolen guns and a coin collection worth $200-thousand.
Investigators believe the coins were stolen earlier in the day from a World War II veteran.
