Father & Son Found Dead Inside Tarpey Village Home

Posted: Updated:
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Fresno County sheriff's detectives are awaiting autopsy results to figure out how a man and his son died.

The bodies of the two were found Monday afternoon inside their Tarpey Village home on Hammel, near Ashlan and Clovis avenues, and appear to have been there for more than a week.

A mail carrier noticed mail and newspapers piling up. That mail carrier alerted neighbors, who then went into the home through a back door and found the bodies.

Neighbors say the men were known for keeping to themselves. They add that the father was a World War II veteran.

Investigators say there are no signs of foul play in the deaths, and the two men did have medical problems, but they are waiting for autopsy results from the coroner's office.

Their names have not been released.
