'Dogs Fall Flat Against Irvine

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Fresno State volleyball team had a disappointing showing Tuesday night.

It was a non-conference match against UC Irvine, which came in with an overall record of 10-19.

But the Anteaters, out of the Big West Conference, came into the Save Mart Center and stunned Fresno State in the first meeting between the schools since 2006.

Ally Squires led UCI in a three game sweep with 15 kills, while Korrin Wild had 15 for the Bulldogs.

Fresno State falls to 16-12 overall, and returns to Mountain West play Friday at UNLV.
