St. Jude Dream Home Goes To Fresno Woman Who Says She's Not Lucky

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Brenda Lincoln of Fresno claims she never wins anything. Sunday night Brenda's luck changed forever. She's the winner of the St. Jude Dream Home in northeast Fresno. 

Lincoln says her favorite number is 11 and she won the St. Jude Dream Home on 11-11.

About an hour after winning she stopped by the De Young Chestnut Grove Community in northeast Fresno to see her grand prize for the very first time. "I thought well this just can't be true I mean I just flipped this on and now they said my name. I just couldn't believe it. I mean, seriously, I was just stunned."

The other big winner is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It was another sellout. All 10–thousand tickets were gone an hour before the drawing.

Home builder Paula De Young presented a check totaling 1,003,620 dollars. That money makes a difference in the lives of so many, like Drew Olvera. "They've done research for Drew's disease. It's very rare. They said it's one in 2–million have what Drew has."

Drew gives St. Jude high marks. "It makes me feel very good. I have very good doctors."

It's a festive Veterans Day evening Brenda Lincoln will never forget. She now has the keys to a 4–bedroom, 2-bath home worth 375–thousand dollars.
