FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
The Fresno County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Team has found a hiker who was missing for over a day near Pine Flat Lake.
David Bowers, 55, went on a day trip Sunday but did not return that night. Deputies said he did not show up for work the following morning.
Bowers' family reported him missing Monday around noon.
Searchers found his truck about four hours later, but his ATV was missing from the truck. The ATV was located around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
The search team then found Bowers in the Big Creek area, about a mile north of Trimmer Springs. Sheriff's officials say he apparently got lost while riding his ATV.
A sheriff's lieutenant said Bowers was in good health.
