VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Authorities in Visalia are investigating after a woman's body was found in a field.

Visalia Police say it was discovered around 2 p.m. Tuesday in a field near Dove Avenue and Encina Court.

Police say the body didn't show any obvious signs of injury.

No other details were immediately available.
