MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
The new company hired to provide trash disposal services in Madera County wants to let residents know that their garbage will still be collected even if they don't have a bin.
Red Rock Environmental Group posted the following message on its website:
Due to the high volume of inquiries for service, we have not been able to contact everyone to confirm service. We are working hard to contact everyone before November 1st. If you are not contacted before then, don't worry, your trash will still be collected.
If you have contacted us and we have not contacted you to confirm service, we will still pick up your trash on your normal trash day.
If you had your trash bin removed by the previous service provider and have not had it replaced, just put it in a bag in its normal location and we will come pick it on your normal trash day.
If you do not receive a call back before your normal service day, please place your trash at the curb that morning and it will get picked up. If you do not yet have a container, place it at the curb in a bag.
Please be patient, we at Red Rock are working diligently around the clock to reach out to all the Madera County customers.
The county hired Red Rock earlier this month.
County officials say they are suing the former trash-collecting company for keeping a larger share of recycling revenues than it was supposed to.
