FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
California strips nearly two dozen schools of their key state ranking because of cheating and one of those schools is in Fresno.
The LA Times reports Fresno Unified Cooper Middle School lost its API score this year because a teacher helped students cheat.
According to the LA Times Fresno Unified's own reports show, a teacher read ahead in the test booklet while the students tested.
Then the teacher would try to go over questions or material with the students before they got to that section.
The API ranking indicates how well or not so well students are learning at a school as determined by state school officials.
