FONTANA, Calif. (KMPH) -
Firefighters are trying to halt a stubborn brush fire sweeping through Fontana in Southern California. Crews Friday afternoon battled flames in San Bernardino County.
So far the brush fire has scorched 25 acres and it is threatening nearby homes. Fire authorities reported wind gusts to be whipping through the area at 40 miles an hour.
Firefighters are receiving air support from helicopters with water buckets. So far there are no injuries or evacuations reported.
