FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says a third person has been arrested in connection with the murder of Sanger teenager Sammy Mercado.

Marshall Voravong, 28, walked into the sheriff's office Thursday night and turned himself in, detectives said.

Voravong was questioned and booked into jail.

This comes a few days after his brother, 29-year-old Michael Voravong, was arrested in connection with the case.

Investigators believe the Voravong brothers killed Mercado after he tried to steal marijuana from a grow at Willow and Annadale back in April.

Last Saturday, deputies found what they believe to be Mercado's remains in a shallow grave near Butler and Highland.

Ernie Chanmany, 21, was arrested earlier this month in Utah. Detectives believe he was there when Mercado was killed.
