FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
Fresno County sheriff's detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that puzzled them for hours.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, a shooting victim was dropped off at Community Regional Medical Center.
At first, deputies did not know where the shooting happened. Their investigation eventually led them to a trailer behind a home in the area of Valentine and Whitesbridge; that's west of Fresno.
The victim underwent surgery and was last listed in critical condition.
Detectives interviewed a woman who took the man to the hospital to try to figure out exactly what happened.
