Toddler Accidentally Run Over By Mother

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A horrific accident in the Madera Acres area took the life of a 19-month-old child Wednesday.

The girl was killed after she was accidentally run over by her mother.

CHP officers say the mother of Merlyn Cruz Hernandez thought her daughter was in the care of her brother, when she moved a Ford Expedition and backed over the child.

Officers say the mother will not be charged with anything.
