FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Investigators have released a picture of a car they believe hit and killed a Fresno child then took off.

Fresno Police say a camera on a city bus caught the car leaving the scene of the crash.

The deadly hit-and-run happened on Clinton and Warren avenues in West Fresno last Thursday around 7 p.m.

11-year-old Lester Lee Cox Jr. was crossing a busy street when he was hit by a car and then another traveling in the opposite direction. Police say the boy was crossing the street to meet his grandmother on the other side.

Police say neither driver was at fault in the crash, but the driver of the second car took off and could now face felony charges for it.

Investigators say they are looking for a light, four-door sedan. They believe the car may have front end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
