'Dogs Need To Believe In Teammates, Says Coach

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Fresno State football team returns to its home field Saturday night to host Wyoming, hoping to bounce back from a 20-10 Mountain West Conference loss at Boise State.

The Bulldogs continued to struggle on offense in that one. They just don't operate with the same efficiency on the road as they do at home.

Quarterback Derek Carr was intercepted and also fumbled once when he was sacked at Boise.

Head coach Tim DeRuyter indicated Monday a little doubt may be creeping in, adding the offense must fight to maintain confidence among teammates.

DeRuyter said it appeared there was some doubt Saturday that needs to be cleaned up.

He added there must be absolute trust between the quarterback and the line, between the quarterback and the receivers, and that guys are holding up their end of the bargain so that trust can be universal.
