FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Investigators are trying to figure out who shot and killed a man in Northeast Fresno.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Fresno Police were called to a home on the 2400 block of East Ashcroft -- near the intersection of Gettysburg and Fresno -- where they found the body of a 25-year-old man.
Police say an autopsy performed on the unidentified man determined that he suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Investigators say this was not a random act, and they say it appears the deadly shooting may have been drug-related.
This is Fresno's 43rd murder of the year.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
