FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
The family of a construction worker killed on Highway 99 in Fresno this summer is now suing the woman charged with her death.
Regan Johnson, 24, was working in a construction zone in July, when officers say Alyssa Villanueva, 26, drove drunk through closed lanes, hit and killed Johnson, then took off.
Investigators found Villanueva's car the next morning at an apartment complex along Ashlan near Marks.
Villanueva was already on probation for a DUI conviction from 2009.
The case against Villanueva in this most recent incident is still pending.
