Sunnyside (4-3, 2-0) opens up a big lead before half, and hangs onto beat Hoover (1-6, 0-2), 31-21 on Thursday Night Showdown.
Sunnyside's Errian Wingfield ran for 185 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game with a minor hamstring injury.
Hoover's star running back, Andrew Ballin, did not play because of a rib injury.
The Wildcats led 28-7 at halftime.
