Sailor Assigned To NAS Lemoore Dies Of Illness

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Department of Defense says a sailor based out of Naval Air Station Lemoore has died of illness while on deployment in support of NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Culinary Specialist First Class Milton W. Brown, 28, of Dallas, Texas, died August 4 in a hospital in Rota, Spain, the DOD said in a statement Wednesday.

A Navy spokesman says he had been airlifted from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln for treatment.

Brown was assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 137, Lemoore.
