Accused ID Thieves Arrested In Clovis

Posted:
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) -

Authorities arrested three people in connection with an identity theft ring in Clovis Tuesday afternoon.

Clovis Police say Richard Plumb, 31, Matthew Snodgrass, 29, and Danielle Blevins, 25, had been staying at a hotel on Gettysburg and Clovis avenues.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a hotel employee called officers to report suspicious activity in a room that the three had rented for eight nights on a credit card that was either fake or duplicated, police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said.

The three were arrested on suspicion of credit card theft and possession of identity theft tools and drugs.

Investigators say Plumb initially gave them a fake name. They say he later confessed when he realized that his true identity would be revealed after being fingerprinted.

Detectives are still investigating whether the three suspects may have ties to other people who may be committing similar crimes, Stoll-Lee said.

All three were booked into the Fresno County Jail. Snodgrass has since been released because of overcrowding, Stoll-Lee said.
