Car Flips From Fresno Freeway Onto Embankment

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Fresno driver is recovering after the car she was driving flipped from the freeway onto the embankment.

The car landed on its side in the empty field off of the Highway 99/180 interchange shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday.

The driver was pinned in for several minutes until rescuers were able to get her out.

Highway Patrol investigators are not exactly sure how the accident happened.

No one else was hurt.
