FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Fresno Police are investigating a murder in the northwest part of the city.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police went to the area of Crystal and Rialto avenues after neighbors said something wasn't right in one vacant home.
Officers checked the backyard of the home and found a man's body. They say the man -- who has only been identified as being in his 50s -- died of a gunshot wound.
Detectives are following up on several leads and say the murder was not random.
This is the city of Fresno's 40th murder of the year.
