KINGSBURG, Calif. (KMPH) -
Kingsburg Police and Fresno County Sheriff's detectives are looking for a killer.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, a woman called 911 saying she and her husband heard an intruder at their home along 7th Avenue near Mehlert Street in Kingsburg.
Her husband went to check out the noise. Moments later, the woman heard a gunshot.
Police say her husband was shot and killed, and the gunman ran off.
The couple has a child, who was not home at the time.
The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 54-year-old Robert Ellis.
