The Fresno State football team cannot afford to look back at Saturday night's record smashing performance in a 69-14 rout of Colorado.
A road game against a tough Tulsa team is sure to cause the Fresno State coaching staff some sleepless nights.
Like the Bulldogs, the Golden Hurricane are off to a 2-1 start. And like the Bulldogs, the Golden Hurricane topped 60 points in their last game, beating Nicholls State, 66-16.
The similarities do not end there.
Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter points out Tulsa plays an up-tempo game, has running backs who can break tackles and go the distance, big receivers who can go up and take balls away from defenders, and is led by an experienced quarterback.
Unlike the Colorado game, that was over before halftime, the Bulldogs expect their matchup against former WAC foe Tulsa to be a four quarter game.
