MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
If you live in Madera County and you've got nothing more than a cellphone, you can now get all the information you need in the case of a public emergency -- fast.
Sheriff John Anderson announced Monday that Madera County's new Emergency Notification System is now available to all citizens, including those who only have cellphones.
Anderson says MC-Alert is now capable of texting, calling and emailing everyone during major emergencies -- no matter where they are -- if they are enrolled with the system.
