Robert Lee Davis III
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
The search continues for a man who escaped the custody of Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies after he was taken to a hospital.
Deputies say 25-year-old Robert Lee Davis III is on parole for weapons charges.
When they were booking him at the Fresno County Jail, he told officers he'd taken ecstasy.
A correctional officer whisked him to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno to get checked out.
Around six o'clock Tuesday evening, Davis asked to use the bathroom.
He wasn't wearing handcuffs and after going to the bathroom, he bolted out the door past security.
Deputies say he was wearing a blue hospital shirt and red basketball shorts.
