FONTANA, Calif. (AP) - An armed robber mugged two Southern Californians within two hours and walked off with $1 from each victim.
Fontana police Sgt. Bob Morris says a 62-year-old man was walking on a trail Wednesday evening when he was confronted by a robber who demanded cash.
The victim said he didn't have any money and the robber pulled a gun. The victim then gave the thief $1 and he left.
About 80 minutes later, the robber targeted a 30-year-old woman and she surrendered the cash she was carrying - another dollar.
He also left with her cellphone.
