FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
The Central High School basketball coach accused of running down a family and killing a 7-year-old boy while driving drunk has been replaced.
Central Unified School District officials announced Wednesday that Tim Amundsen would take over for Loren LeBeau.
Amundsen has coached at Clovis East for the past six years, winning three Division I boys basketball titles during that time.
LeBeau still faces charges for the July 25 accident that killed Donovan Maldonado and put his father and sister in the hospital.
Police say LeBeau's blood-alcohol level was 0.11 when he smashed into the Maldonado family as they were riding their bikes in Northeast Fresno, near Shepherd and Millbrook.
