IVANHOE, Calif. (KMPH) -
More than $1 million worth of pot will not hit the streets of the Valley.
Tulare County sheriff's detectives located a marijuana grow near Road 156 and Avenue 332 in Ivanhoe earlier this summer.
It was not in compliance with county zoning, and the grower was told to remove the plants.
Detectives say he didn't, so they went back on Tuesday and destroyed more than 300 plants.
Each plant had the potential to produce over one pound of marijuana, for a total value of $1.2 million.
This case remains under investigation.
