FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
A man accused of killing a Fresno store clerk Thursday night is behind bars.
Fresno Police say 21-year-old Christopher Roberts is one of two men who went into the Super 1 convenience store on Tulare near 7th Street, shot and killed one of the clerks and hit another over the head with a metal object.
Family members have identified the clerk as 45-year-old Kashmir Manes. The second employee is expected to recover.
Police say Roberts and the other man were after money.
Officers arrested Roberts on Friday and booked him into the Fresno County Jail on murder charges.
The second man is still on the run.
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of that man.
