Clerk Dead After Shooting At Fresno Convenience Store

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A convenience store clerk is dead after being shot during a robbery, Fresno Police said.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday at a store off Tulare and 7th streets in Southeast Fresno.

Police say two men walked in and robbed the business. They say a worker was shot and another employee was hit in the head with an object during the robbery.

Officers performed CPR on the shooting victim, but he later died.

The other worker was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. He's expected to be okay.

No arrests have been made in this case.
