TERRA BELLA, Calif. (KMPH) -
Six people are behind bars, and nearly $4 million worth of pot is off the streets after a bust in Terra Bella.
Authorities served a search warrant at a marijuana grow site along Road 256 near Avenue 100 at about 7 a.m. Monday.
This was the culmination of a three-month investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff's Department and federal officers from the U.S. Forest Service.
Deputies say this grow is tied to a large marijuana grow site in the Sierra National Forest.
Officers say they destroyed more than 1,300 plants and recovered firearms and ammunition.
The following people were taken into custody:
-- Baltazar Rodriguez Zuniga, 43, of Terra Bella
-- Carlos Adan Lupian, 24, ofTerra Bella
-- Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez, 18, of Terra Bella
-- Hector Quintero Mercado, 34, of Mexico
-- Jose Guadalupe Zavala, 32, of Mexico
-- Juan Carlos Perez Gonzalez, 43, of Mexico
