Wish Granted! Clovis Boy With Disability Gets Spa

Posted:
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Clovis family got to personally witness a bit of magic in their own backyard Friday evening.

Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and sponsor United Healthcare, 7-year-old Scottie Martin now has his very own spa.

Scottie suffers from a rare, muscle wasting disease, but water therapy can make a world of difference for kids like Scottie and his family.

"When we're faced with the type of situation that we are with a son who has a lot of disabilities and a lot of different specialists and therapists, this means a lot to us, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation really allowed us to give our son a gift that he'll be able to use for the rest of his life," said Sandy Martin, Scottie's mother.
