FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
A big rig overturned on northbound Highway 99 near Kingsburg Friday morning, forcing authorities to close the slow lane for more than 12 hours.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. near the Mendocino exit.
The CHP says the big rig spilled its load of liquid asphalt. Hazmat crews were called in to clean up the mess.
At one point, officers said traffic was backed up for about seven miles.
The slow lane was reopened just after 4 p.m.
No one was hurt in the accident.
