FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
We have an update to a story we brought you earlier in the week.
We told you about the trio of accused burglars that included 41-year-old Julian Zuniga Senior, of Clovis, 46-year-old Sandra Poe and 27-year-old Lilia Pinedo, of Fresno, who were arrested by Clovis police.
They are accused of ripping off thousands of dollars worth of California lottery tickets from a number of stores throughout the state.
Now a new victim has come forward.
Steve Johnson, the owner of West Coast Exhaust and Off Road along Shaw and Brawley Avenues, says he was ripped off last Sunday.
Steve says the guy who ripped him off was Julian Zuniga Senior.
Police say Zuniga and his partner 46-year-old Sandra Poe are responsible for as many as 20 burglaries in the Valley, Sacramento and Southern California.
How does Steve know it was him? Steve says Zuniga was a customer of his just days before the burglary.
Steve Johnson says, "He wore this notorious weightlifting vest that he always wore when he came in here, and I recognized his facial features. You would think he would change. Unbelievable!"
Also unbelievable, Steve says that they are already released from the Fresno County Jail due to overcrowding.
Steve has since been contacted by police, and his case has been added to the charges Zuniga now faces.
