CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) -
Firefighters are trying to figure out what started a fire Monday morning at a former convalescent home and attraction, some say, is haunted.
Shortly before 2 a.m., fire crews went to Wolfe Manor at Clovis Avenue, south of Shaw, in Clovis after receiving a call about a fire.
Firefighters say they spotted smoke in the back, but had a hard time getting in the property because it was fenced in.
Once inside, they were able to knock down the flames.
But, because the property is used as a haunted house at times, they had to deal with some trick walls.
No one was inside, and no crews were hurt.
