FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
A man is recovering and answering questions after being pulled out of a Fresno chimney Friday morning.
Fresno Firefighters had to rescue the man after they say he climbed down the chimney of a vacant home off Ferger and Franklin avenues.
Neighbors said they called police after hearing noises coming from the empty home. When officers realized what was going on, they called the fire department for help.
Fire crews say the man got stuck just before reaching the fireplace. They had to use a rope system to get him out.
It's not known how long the man had been in there. He was taken to a hospital after complaining of back pain.
