FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
A young boy is dead after being hit by a car in Northwest Fresno.
The accident happened just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Herndon and Milburn avenues.
Fresno Police say the 6-year-old boy was by the crosswalk, when he darted out and was hit by a car going westbound on Herndon.
The boy was taken to a hospital, where he died. The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified him at Jamal Ayesh.
The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with police. It doesn't appear the driver will be facing any charges.
