
Fresno Police are investigating after a child was hurt in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. near Fresno and Weldon avenues in Central Fresno.
Investigators say a gold four-door car crashed into a young girl who was crossing the street. They say the driver then made a U-turn and ran a red light at a nearby intersection to get away.
Police say a man was driving and a woman was in the passenger seat.
The girl was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, but is expected to be okay.
