FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
KinderCare Learning Center in Northeast Fresno will be accepting monetary donations for the Maldonado family at its upcoming open house.
Last month, 7-year-old Donovan Maldonado was struck and killed by an accused drunk driver as he and his family were on an evening bike ride. Donovan's father, Jesse, and sister, Bella, remain hospitalized. Their conditions have been upgraded in recent days.
Donovan was a part of the center's school age program. Bella is in the toddler program.
Anyone who would like to drop off a donation for the family can stop by the KinderCare Learning Center at 993 E. Champlain Drive on Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Families will be able to enjoy activities, games and more at the open house.
