FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Did you feel it? A light earthquake hit close to the Valley overnight.
The magnitude-4.5 earthquake hit around 12:45 a.m. Monday, and was centered about 16 miles southwest of Coalinga.
The quake was actually closer to Parkfield in Monterey County.
KMPH News checked with the Fresno County Sheriff's Department Monday morning, and the lieutenant we spoke with said no damage or injuries have been reported.
Parkfield is the most researched earthquake zone in the world. It's on the San Andreas Fault.
