Students Learn To Climb Utility Poles In Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

About a dozen aspiring utility workers were up in the air Thursday over at Fresno City College.

They were there as part of PG&E's Introduction to Pole Climbing class.

PG&E says classes like this one are helping it prepare people for some of the high-demand jobs that it and other utility companies need to fill.

These students from Fresno City College are among the first to participate in the three-week pole-climbing course.
