FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Gay rights activists and other supporters of same-sex marriage are planning to hold what they're calling a "Kiss-In" at Chick-fil-A restaurants on Friday.
This protest is in reaction to comments the fast food chain's CEO, Dan Cathy, made supporting traditional marriage.
On Wednesday, hundreds of thousands filled Chick-fil-A locations across the country to show their support for the restaurant during an "Appreciation Day." Chick-fil-A says it set a one-day sales record that day.
Some said it wasn't so much they agreed with the CEO's stance, but rather they supported his freedom of speech.
The family that owns Chick-fil-A has long been known for publicly expressing its faith, including never opening their businesses on Sundays.
Meanwhile, police are investigating graffiti at a Chick-fil-A in Southern California. The graffiti discovered Friday morning on the side of a restaurant in Torrance said "Tastes like hate" and had a picture of a cow. No one has been arrested.
