Attempted Murder Investigation: Man Sought

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Authorities are looking for a man accused of shooting another man in the town of Biola Monday evening.

Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies say 20-year-old Jose Ruben Saldivar, of Biola, walked up to a car in the area of Biola and B streets at about 6 p.m., opened fire, then ran away.

Deputies say a man in the car was hit by gunfire. He was flown to Community Regional Medical Center where he had surgery. He was last listed in stable condition.

Four other people riding in the car were not hurt.

Detectives say Saldivar, who also goes by the street name "JoJo," is a gang member. He is described as being Hispanic, 5'10" tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Saldivar is wanted on charges of attempted murder. Detectives say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
